American Hi-Fi Credits Miley Cyrus For Band's Return
American Hi-Fi is back on the musical map after being quiet for the last five or so years, and frontman Stacy Jones says fans can credit Miley Cyrus with the band's return. He explains that he and guitarist Jamie Arentzen took a break from the group to tour with the teen pop star, and while on the Cyrus tour they began working on their own music. Jones says collaborating with Arentzen during the trek renewed his interest in American Hi-Fi. Arentzen says American Hi-Fi was working on new material when Jones got the call from Cyrus' manager asking him to be Miley's drummer and musical director. He adds that writing songs with Jones during the Cyrus tour gave them the chance to develop their material without being pressured to quickly crank out an album, and that gave them a chance to really fine-tune the project. American Hi-Fi's new CD, "Fight The Frequency," is out now.
