John Fogerty To Receive BMI Honor In May
BMI has tapped John Fogerty as its "Icon" for 2010. Variety.com reports that the performance rights organization is giving the Creedence Clearwater Revival alum its "BMI Icon" award at a ceremony this Spring. A lineup of music stars, to be announced at a later date, will also pay tribute to Fogerty at the annual industry event. Fogerty has enjoyed a career resurgence in the past year, having earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Solo Rock Performance category for his work on "Change In The Weather" from his "The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again" LP. BMI's 58th Annual Pop Awards will take place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on May 18th. |
