Pennywise's Teglas Joins Peaceful Protest
New Pennywise vocalist Zoli Teglas is fitting in well with the politically-minded rockers. In fact, he's joining the conservation group Sea Shepherd today for a lunchtime protest at the Hump Restaurant in Santa Monica, California. The restaurant has reportedly been serving endangered Sei Whale meat. The eatery's owners could be fined 20-thousand-dollars or serve one year in prison for the discretion. Teglas teamed with Sea Shepherd board member Kurt Lieber and Pelican Rescue Team director of operations Grace Ko to obtain police approval in organizing the peaceful protest to encourage Los Angeles-area sushi lovers to urge the restaurant owners to put an end to serving endangered species as delicacies. The protest runs today from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Hump Restaurant at the Santa Monica Airport at 32-21 Donald Douglas Loop South. |
