Muse Building A North American Audience
Muse's slow build is paying off in a major way. The UK rockers are moving into larger venues and holding their own, which is more than many of their overseas peers can say. Singer Matt Bellamy tells Canada's QMI Agency, quote, "We seem to be bucking the trend by selling tickets everywhere. Our American manager was very impressed by the fact we're playing to 12-thousand people in Detroit, which is obviously an area very badly hit by the economic downturn." The vocalist says after years of downsizing their show in America, they are happy to bring the theatrics that European audiences get. Muse's current production includes three miniature skyscrapers and videos specifically tailored to the songs in the set. The band will be entertaining their Detroit fans at the Palace of Auburn Hills this Saturday. Muse is performing in Toronto on Monday. |
