Denver Botanic Gardens will host its inaugural wedding showcase on Thursday, Sept. 16, from 5-9 p.m. More than 40 wedding professionals will be available in locations throughout the Gardens. From wedding planning and formalwear to food, wine and floral design, the Gardens’ Wedding Showcase offers solutions to all types of wedding needs.
Vendors include:
- Multiple bridal shops
- Wedding cakes and desserts (wine, champagne and food samples from Catering by Design, the Gardens’ exclusive caterer)
- Photographers
- Videographers
- Limousine and party buses
- Wedding favors
- Decorators/florists
- Musicians
- Wedding officiants
- Salons
- Wedding planners
- Invitation designers
- Event/wedding babysitters
Attendees will be given “passports” when they arrive at the event. These passports allow guests to interact with each vendor, as well as sample a variety of food, wine and entertainment options at the Gardens.
"Brides can find the dresses of their dreams, see photographers’ work and get a preview of Denver Botanic Gardens’ one-of-a-kind wedding sites,” says Facility Rental Manager Keisha Makonese. "Additionally, we are offering the opportunity to pre-book wedding dates at Denver Botanic Gardens on that day. That’s two weeks before we open our books to the public."
The wedding showcase is an event that makes it simple for brides to plan their entire wedding. Each bride’s passport enters her into a drawing for fabulous prizes including a free wedding site or reception site at Denver Botanic Gardens.
Tickets for Denver Botanic Gardens’ Wedding Showcase are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
Guests can register online at www.botanicgardens.org.
About Denver Botanic Gardens:
Green inside and out, the Gardens is considered one of the top botanical gardens in the United States and a pioneer in water conservation. Accredited by the American Association of Museums, the Gardens’ living collections encompass specimens from the tropics to the tundra, showcasing a plant palette chosen to thrive in Colorado’s semi-arid climate. The Gardens' dynamic, 23-acre urban oasis in the heart of the city is now in its 51st year, offering unforgettable opportunities to flourish with unique garden experiences for the whole family – as well as world-class education and plant conservation research programs. Additional sites at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, a 750-acre wildlife and native plant refuge in Jefferson County; and Mount Goliath, a high-altitude trail and interpretive site on the Mount Evans Scenic Byway, extend this experience throughout the Front Range.
