Gardens' Annual Corn Maze Features Marmot Mascot |
| |
Navigate the challenging twists and turns of the newly designed cornfield this fall at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield’s annual Corn Maze – one of the most attended corn mazes in the country. Two 15-foot-tall illuminated bridges will overlook the tall stalks of the 8-acre Corn Maze. The winding pathways are cut in the shape of a marmot (a large ground squirrel native to the Rocky Mountains that is also the mascot for the new Mordecai Children’s Garden at the Gardens’ York Street location).
A free mini-maze will be open for the little ones. Hayrides, and horse and pony rides are available for an additional cost. An array of food vendors will offer some of your favorite fall foods, including freshly squeezed lemonade, funnel cakes, candy apples, hotdogs and kettle corn.
The Corn Maze is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Sept. 10 - Oct. 31.
Hours: Fridays: 4-9 p.m.
Saturdays: noon – 9 p.m.
Sundays: noon – 9 p.m.
Admission*: $10 adults
$8 adult members, seniors and students with ID
$6 children (3-12 years)
$4 child members
*Save money with the “Super Ticket,” a combination ticket that includes admission to both the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Festival. Visit www.botanicgardens.org for details.
Ticket sales end one hour in advance of Maze closure.
Once you have conquered the Corn Maze, explore the tree house and water feature in Deer Creek Discovery, check out the wildlife observation area and visit our barnyard friends.
Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield is located at 8500 Deer Creek Canyon Road in Littleton, just south of C-470 on Wadsworth Blvd. The site is an affiliate of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and features 750 acres of plants, wildlife, grasslands and protected wetlands.
