Pan Out Now creates great off-timed alt-metal, with the use of ethereal keys, big sounding guitars, and brilliant vocalizing from both singers – Stephanie Sheri and Tim Foley.
The band plays what they call ‘recombinant rock,’ a clever blend of dissonant harmonies, big guitars and cascading piano atop overtly anthemic and driving guitar riffing, all capped off with a duel vocal attack that will keep your attention.
“Pan Out Now is an outstanding group of musicians with a strong penchant for sweet melodies and catchy hooks,” says Toronto-area radio programmer Mark Rawson. “I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.”
Formed in Toronto in 1997, PON has several releases under their belt already, including their latest release ‘Aspirate.’ Clearly their breakout record, PON showcases anything and everything that they are musically able to do – unique time signatures, intense guitar work, brooding drums, soft piano touches and incredible vocals.
“I can truly say that this is what we are about, 100%: the freedom to be true to the songs, with no artistic compromises,” adds Stephanie Sheri.
Bottom line – think Lacuna Coil and Lennon meet A Perfect Circle, all topped off with the vocals of Tim Foley, who eerily sounds like Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd. It works very well.
